1: Who has authority to see the data?
A: requesting authority includes the Police, local authority (council), Insurance Company and any legal representative working on the owner’s behalf.

2: Can I disable the video and audio recording?
A: No, the 4eyez Taxi CCTV recorder is encrypted and locked down and cannot be accessed unless an authorised person has been called to access the data.

3: Does the system work 24/7?
A: In some areas the system works from the ignition switch with an off button in the boot of the vehicle. In other areas the standard system works with an on/off button in the boot allowing the driver to completely turn the system off when using the vehicle for private use.

When the system is on and depending which area you work in the system when on will record a minimum of 14 24 hour days to a maximum of 31 24 days.

4:  What about my family being recorded when using my vehicle for private use?
A:  The unit is completely secure of unauthorised access and the data cannot be viewed unless an event calls for data recovery. In other words, no one can access the data unless a prior event has called for a data recovery for the time and date stamp of the event. Only the data for this time and date stamp will be recovered and the data will then be able to be used as evidence.

5:  Who has authority to see the data?
A: A requesting authority includes the Police, local authority (council), Insurance Company and any legal representative working on the owner’s behalf.

6:  How does this work?
A:  In the case of a request for data, typically the driver will be requested by the local authority and or police to have the data downloaded for analysis. Sometimes this can include having the drive replaced allowing the driver minimal time away from work.

7:  Can I disable the video and audio recording?
A:  No, the 4eyez Taxi CCTV recorder is encrypted and locked down and cannot be accessed unless an authorised person has been called to access the data.

8:  Does the system work 24/7?
A:  The standard system depending on Local Authority criteria works off the ignition switch and or on/off button only allowing the system to be turned off for private use.

9:  Can I have a working all the time system?
A:  This is totally dependent on the driver. We have drivers who never turn their system off – this has recently helped in retrieving data to highlight an over night break in and theft.

10:  Does the 4eyez Taxi CCTV recorder offer GPS, speed and G sensors?
A:  Yes, these are optional extras which can be selected at times of purchase. However where requested the 4eyez Taxi CCTV has a GPS sender which only works with time and date reconciliation.
